You must have some kind of a skill, hobby, passion, or day dream to have found yourself here. Here are 5 signs that it is time to make the move into starting your side hustle.

1. You day dream about it during your work day.
Whether or not you're a day dreamer, you have found yourself picturing what it would be like to work for yourself. Maybe you have even made a list or two of "things you need to get started."
Do you find yourself picturing what it would be like to have people lining up to experience what you have to offer. The day dream might get you through the work day but you're left feeling empty at the end of the week, working for someone else, never filling up your own goals bucket.
2. You shared your idea with your mom.
Mom, sibling, friend or maybe even foe. When someone asked you what you have been up to recently, instead of the usual "not much" answer you bring up your latest idea.
Whether or not you knew it, you were feeling out the crowd in a safe space. Sometimes we just want one person to say "Hey! That's a great idea"before we start something. But, I'll let you in on a secret. If you have brought up the idea to someone you trust then it's probably something worth trying. Just the want for affirmation is enough that you should begin. People will always have different opinions so even if you didn't get the response you were looking for there is someone out there who wants what you have to offer!
3. Someone said you should sell that.
Maybe you have a hobby or a skill you like to do in your free time. If someone has said you should sell that you probably should.
If you are worried about burning out on your favorite past time then there are ways to make it manageable and fun while still making money with your amazing skills! Here's an article about avoiding side hustle burnout.
4. You pictured the potential and then convinced yourself it's not worth it.
You made a list, you researched business plans, you read the book, then the intimidation crept in and you decided it's not worth the effort.
If you have let fear, intimidation, and the daunting idea of success cause you to back out, then it's time to get back in. It is good to dream big and set big goals. Your brain will start working on creative ways to achieve those things in the background. But, where to start is another story. When I am intimidated by a massive goal, I set one small task a day that is easily achievable. Your task could be something like write a mission statement or publish one blog, or maybe even something small like listen to one productive podcast. I like The Side Hustle Show with Nick Loper.
5. You get really excited hearing about other people's side hustles and businesses.
Do you light up or feel a little envious when someone is telling you about their successful side hustle? Take that as a sign to start your own.
If you're thinking damn I wish I could do that... You can. Take this time to ask them what is one resource that they feel really helped them when launching their project. No one started off with no help or guidance, this is a great opportunity to find your own jumping off point!
